Hans Hundsbichler, born in August 1952 as the third of seven children on the Brunnerhof farm in Laimach, was a man of hard work and great determination. Even as a child, he had to take on responsibility and face the challenges that came with life on a farm. Hans followed his father's wishes and completed an apprenticeship as a butcher, even though his heart was set on farming.

since 1986

In 1972, Hans started at the Gaspingerhof and rose to head chef, then cooked in Hamburg and Liechtenstein. In 1976 he met his wife Lisi, married a year later and became the father of three children. In 1977, he passed the master chef examination in Landshut and opened the Metzgerwirt in Laimach together with his brother in 1986. Catering began in 2003, and in the same year the company catered the Gauderfest in Zell am Ziller for the first time. In 2014, his son Johannes returned from his years of travelling and in 2017 the 2nd generation took over the Metzgerwirt.

When Hans was diagnosed with a serious illness in April 2021, he fought on bravely despite all the challenges, without neglecting his work at the company. Hans will be remembered forever as a generous, hard-working person, a role model and a fighter in all situations. May our dear father rest in peace.
